With a few days left in the round the excitement really stepped up a notch, with Danja's net increasing steadily and Mercs appearing to keep up with the pace. Whilst all the collecting was going on, the noise of aks firing and DUs and ops dieing continued to rumble through the streets of EMW, with TD, Illuminati and Vegas appearing to be the only families avoiding the mayhem.

It was when KillingMachine started trying to get in range of the Projects bank, Danja, that things really started to get interesting.  We saw XVZ, from Illuminati get hit for range cash by KillingMachine, and then saw the tightening of the developing alliance between Projects and FoundHell.

Danja and a few other Projects members joined a FoundHell family for maxing purposes and stayed there until right near the end of the round.  The last few hours of the round were extremely interesting to watch, though I am sure were definitely nerve wrecking for all those involved.  For the last hour of the round we saw banks being sent up and mad collecting as Bubbagump from Mercs and Danja from Projects went head to head in a networth battle that was truly rivetting to watch.

With not many minutes left in the round Mercs appeared to admit that the win was just out of their reach and began banking members, ensuring they finished the round with some very nice rank spots.  At the end of the day, it was Danja, from Projects that came out on top with a very impressive networth of $390 trillion.

I spoke to Danja after the round was over and he had the following few brief words to make on his first EMW win:

"thanks to everyone that helped me for my first win, especially all project members and to Flissy for keeping me maxed, i cant thank everyone but it will never be forgotten"


Fellow Projects member, Shiver, added this:

"Just like to say congratulations to Rich on a win most worthy, it wasnt without its stress lol, looking forward to enjoying a weekend of beer with no maxing or worries lol. Thanks to all that helped and a big thanks to FH for their help, especially Fliss.

As for Mercs well they were weighed, measured and once again found wanting!"


Man of very words and Projects Don, ThE_EnEmY had this brief comment to make:

"Congrats Rich and Projects for a well played well executed round!!"


While Projects didn't manage more than the one idividual rank spot, they did have a few guys that picked up killer medals.  Egon_Spengler, who spent the majority of the round on his own, but finishted in Projects, took top supporter killer with over 33 million kills, and Rostov-Ripper (aka KILLEMALL) took third in free kills with close to 18 million kills.

Mercs finished off the round strongly with second and tenth ranked families and quite a number of individual ranks,   They ranked a total 13 members, including 4 in the top level.  Noteable ranks for their family included Bubbagump second in level 4, HAWK_IS_ANGRY second level 3 and 2much4u second in level 2.  On top of the individual ranks mercs also took out three of the six killer ranks on offer. SeXiKiLLingMachine took third in supporter kills, and KiLLingMachine and Lord_Kris took first and second in the free kills.

There was a number of Mercs players with something to say after the round was over, starting with HAWK_IS_ANGRY who sent this:

"lmao some funny shit all those level 4s PROJECTS had abot 10+ we had no more than 5 i think lol and we still took home alot of ranks and they took home 1 rank and a fam rnak lol good luck guys time to have fun im comin outta my shell!!!"


MeDuSa added this:

"After too many capped rounds for whatever reason I am glad they are over. Mercs had to compete with 3 unions and we still came out damn good in the battle. Mercs put up a damn good fight which really and truly kept the rounds from being boring. Way to work together Mercs when the odds were against us we came out with minor bruises. Congrats Rich aka Danja on your win well deserved, more than i can say about some. It cost your family alot of blood, sweat and tears considering only 2 of your family lvl 4s actually ranked, way to take one for the team Projects families. All in all the round was one of the best!"

Avoiding the war was definitely profitable for TD, they managed to take out third, fourth and fifth family spots, and a bucketful of individual ranks as well.  In a very impressive effort they took top spot in every level apart from level 4, and ranked a total of 18 members. Noteable ranks for them were Catch_Me_If_U_Can third in level 4, EVIL_CLOWN first level 3, JAYSONMAN first level 2, Killing_Everyone first level 1 and Jimmy_James topping the sub level.  After the round was over TD Don had the following to say:

"WOW...SURE WAS EXCITING...I MEAN BIG CONGRATS TO RICH AND ALL PROJECTS..WELL DESERVED..HE WAS A NERVOUS LIL NELLY AT THE END :p ....WAS A WELL PLAYED ROUND..AND THEY REALLY GOT SOME GREAT PEOPLE THERE THAT BACK THERE PEOPLE 110 PERCENT WHEN GOING FOR ANYTHING!!!BUT .....

GOTTA GIVE TRENT PROPS FOR MAKING IT EXCITING TO SAY THE LEAST..HE MIGHT BE HATED..BUT HE DOES MAKE THE GAME FUN AT LEAST..SO CONGRATS TOO ALL HIS PEOPLE TOO FOR STICKING WITH HIM...

BOTH ARE REAL GOOD FAMS..BUT BOTTOM LINE I GOT THE BEST IN THE GAME..PERIOD..MY PEOPLE ARE SUPER UNSELFISH AND ALWAYS DO AS I ASK...I WOULDNT TRADE ANY OF THEM..FOR ALL THE TURNS IN EMW AWWWW :p WAIT..I MIGHT TRADE THEM FOR 4 NEW BIG TREAD TIRE FROM JAME :p OR A SET OF BAMBOO SHOOTS FROM GARY :p

ALSO CONGRATS TO THE OTHER FAMS THAT RANKED...FH GOING BACK TO THERE ROOTS AND WARRING..AND VEGAS AND DG..PULLING UP A FEW RANKS...CONGRATS EVERYONE :)"


Coming in sixth place in the family ranks was Illuminati_Council, yet again proving that just because they are a small family it doesn't mean that they can't keep up with big Unions.  They managed to rank four of their members, including M-I-A 6th in level 4, and XVZ third in level 3. Illuminati member, 7, contacted me after the round was over and said the following:

"Just want to say a big THANKS to Illuminati Council for a great round. As XVZ mentioned in the mid-round, capped rounds aren't really suited to small families, but we've had a fun round and everyone has worked together brilliantly. You are simply the best!!! weeeeeeeee"

And XVZ also had this to say:

"Congrat to Danja on the win.

3 cheers to everyone in Illuminati for making it a fun round."


Seventh place in the family ranks was Vegas, with a networth of $48 trill, picking themselves up a healthy seven individual ranks along the way.  DevilsGate made a return to the ranking circle, taking out family spots eight and nine and five individual ranks. Although I didn't actually see it, I did hear that their bank was hit very hard in the last hour of the round.

While it was FoundHell that missed out on ranking a family this round it appeared there wasn't too many complaints coming from Liverpool. After picking up second in supporter kills, with 24 million kills Flissy had the following to say on FoundHell's behalf:

"We had a fun round, nothing like breaking out the aks to bring a family closer together.  We didn't use many credits, but we definitely hit hard.  To all the FH guys and gals, you are all awesome, wouldn't want to be killing with anyone else!  Congrats to Rich and Projects on the win, we were glad we could help you guys bring the win home."


And so ended another round of excitement and chaos, and from the looks of the start of this round, the families of EMW still have a lot more in store for us yet.  Already the 0s are popping up all over the game and I am sure there will be plenty more to come! So pull yourself up a chair, refill your drink and settle in for what looks to be another eventful round!
